Generic definition

Subject: Experience video experiments (from latin experiri, learn through trials and errors)
Will be chosen six people from different professional and personal spheres. Each one has its attitude and his own way to express themselves. The personal background will affect the behavior and mental elaborations. I will bring them individually by an artwork, secret for both the group and final public. Anyone of the six will be involved in one and unique aspect of the same work, known only to the author and the chosen, who is bound to silence. Each of the selected will be contacted and will be given day and time of the experience. At the end of this process of “activation”, it will start the process of info-collecting, where every person in front of a camera will expose and “interpret” their experiences with the work (verbal and non verbal will be recorded).

refer directly to the work lived
speak directly about how the interaction during the experience
describe the methods used
reveal the place and context in which it was held
disclose information given by the author

It is allowed:
talk about feelings
use metaphors
apply directly to the camera
Take the time to rework the information
remain silent

Various texts will be projected on six screens in a dark environment that allows the isolation of spect-actors from the external environment. The spect-actors will be invited to join the center of the circle created by the six screens and will have also a swivel chair. Each spect-actor can take as long as he want to experience the work. The way we interact with the outside is the result of a number of mechanisms that occur in common and that the user recognizes as foreign.

In reality everything is reprocessed and re-created in our minds.

Definizione generica

Oggetto: Esperienza video-esperita (dal lat.experiri, venire in cognizione provando e riprovando).

Verranno scelte sei persone che provengono da ambiti professionali e personali differenti. Ognuna avrà il proprio modo di esprimersi e di “atteggiarsi”. Il background personale influirà naturalmente sul comportamento e sulle rielaborazioni mentali che avverranno dentro di loro. Farò esperire loro singolarmente un opera segreta sia per il gruppo sia per il pubblico finale. Ogni individuo verrà coinvolto in una e unica realtà della stessa opera, nota solo all’autore e al prescelto, che è tenuto al silenzio. Il singolo verrà contattato e gli verrà indicato giorno e ora dell’esperienza. Alla fine di questo processo di “attivazione”, inizierà la fase di raccolta dati, dove ogni personalità, di fronte ad una telecamera, dovrà esporre ed “interpretare” la propria esperienza con l’opera, sia con il linguaggio parlato che con il linguaggio non verbale.

Non è permesso:
riferirsi direttamente all’opera vissuta
parlare direttamente dell’esperienza vissuta riguardo alle modalità di interazione
descrivere le modalità di realizzazione
svelare luogo e contesto in cui si è svolta
rendere note le indicazioni date dall’autore

È permesso:
parlare delle proprie sensazioni
utilizzare metafore
rivolgersi direttamente alla telecamera
prendersi tutto il tempo necessario per rielaborare le informazioni
rimanere in silenzio

I vari testi verranno proiettati su sei schermi all’interno di un ambiente buio che permetta l’isolamento dello spett-attore dal contesto esterno. Gli spett-attori verranno invitati ad entrare nel centro della circonferenza creata dai sei monitor e avranno a disposizione anche una sedia girevole. I video dei sei prescelti andranno in loop simultaneamente. Ogni spett-attore finale può prendersi tutto il tempo che vuole per esperire l’opera. Il modo in cui noi interagiamo con l’esterno è frutto di una serie di meccanismi che avvengono all’interno e che il fruitore comune riconosce come esterni.

In realtà tutto viene rielaborato e ricreato nella nostra mente.
